Going back to Tactic's thread when it came down to safety play I don't know who you or anyone would say was your favourite player .
I love the flair players so that rules out a lot of players and whittles the field to a narrow list , you could include O'Sullivan and now Trump has found his safety game etc but do you know who was my favourite safety payer ?
Mark Williams !
What a player at safety he was , 'Aggressive Safety' , he could lay traps , score a break but not high enough to win the Frame etc so he would play a safety shot that made no sense but the more you followed 'what is he doing' the more it became apparent he was setting traps and saying , go ahead then , I will leave the cue ball here , leave you a slight shot and if you pot it , fair enough but if you miss , I'm clearing up so go ahead Boyo , shoot your shot .
Mark Williams , my favourite 'Aggressive Safety ' player and still to this day I do not know why there is no You Tube Video made of his shots

Mark Williams , it looked like he had no safety game , just shoot high 60's or 70 odd breaks and hope for the best even low breaks say 30's 40's 50's and he would play safety shots that never made sense until one time it clicked , I see what your doing now Mark Williams , your playing high class safe shots but showing your opponent just enough to tempt them into the pot and if they miss your clearing up so here in Scotland we call it Keek !

Gilbert says it would be very useful to get some table time before the rescheduled World Championship but he is not getting his hopes up.
"In an ideal world that would be great, but I'm not so sure it'll be possible," the 38-year-old added.
"If the World Championship goes ahead, I'm happy if that's the next time we get our cues out."
Since the coronavirus outbreak, two other lucrative ranking events in March were also postponed.
The China Open, which has a total prize fund of £1m, was called off along with the Tour Championship in Llandudno, which has been provisionally rescheduled for July.
"The amount of money and opportunities we're losing is quite bad but it's terrible for everyone isn't it?" Gilbert, who lives in Tamworth with his wife Abigail and their young daughter Taylor, added.
"Everyone thinks I've got a few quid at the minute so I'm alright but it's still very scary for me and Abi, we've got a mortgage to pay and a tax bill.
"Obviously the lower down the rankings lads, anyone with families and kids, I know Elliott Slessor's got a newborn, for them I'm sure it's a real struggle.
"It's a terrible situation and I just hope the UK starts taking it seriously and we get this dealt with as soon as we can, not have people carrying on as normal, which is a bit weird and wrong really."
