Is John no longer with Schon?

Don't know about John but I think Evan has pretty much retired from cue work. He was doing wraps and some refinishing when he was in Winona, MN but then moved out of the country to Columbia and got married.
Dunno, but whoever is "designing" their newer LTDs, Elites, etc needs to be fired. :thumbup:

What's with all the secrecy/privacy stuff?? Seriously, we're talkin about pool cues not nuclear weapons. If the guy's gone, he's gone and someone new is doing his job. I agree with previous poster about their designs. Some of their more recent designs have been hideous imo.
in my opinion Schon has produced some of the best cues ever in the past
they have a place in the history of our sport second to none
let's hope that they continue in that way
at present Bob Runde is making a few cues for me,but he is older than I am
and only makes one cue at a time as he feels like it
i would encourage anyone who wants to have a rel piece of history to
oder one of his cues while you can still get them
he still makes cues the old fashion way with sharp points and does great work
including choice of woods and workmanship
they have a place in the history of our sport second to none

I agree. Some of the more recent LTD's and Elites have been pretty "out there" design-wise.

Schon has always been one of my dream cues. However if that is what they are turning out now, I guess I will never have one. Wow are those some ugly cues. I agree, they look like McDermotts.
The STL's and CX's are still pretty good looking cues. Some of the SP's, Elite's and LTD's tho are pretty scary looking. The STL-7 is a nice classic style cue for example https://www.seyberts.com/schon-stl-series-cues/schon-stl7-pool-cue/
