Here are the top 8 of last years Amateur event.
1: Brad Guthrie - Never seen this guy play in a 404 (Would be a 7 in 404)
2: Marc Bucais -Don't even see this guy anymore, which is a shame
(7 in 404)
3: Mike Patrowicz -Plays everyday (8 in 404)
4: Dean MacNaughton -Plays Almost everyday, I work to much
(7 in 404)
5/6: Tony Lai - Casual player, but plays very well for little playing time he puts in (7 in 404)
5/6: Peter Jackson - Casual player (6 in 404)
7/8: Eric Bradley - I don't even know this guy, so hes probably a casual player lol
7/8: Arbi Seyrani - Casual player (6 in 404)
I wouldn't even play in the Amateurs if I was allowed to. I don't think im to good enough to play, but I just think I can do well in the open, and would like to try it out.
But in my opinion, there are 3-5 guys on here that play casually, don't take it as serious, and choose not to put in the time to practice, which is fine. But I think they should be allowed to still play in the Amateurs.
There are quite a few guys that didn't make the top 8, and are in my opinion better players then some of the top 8 listed lol. Id be careful of them this year hehe
.
Here is some of the guys that played but didn't get into the top 8, that I think could of easily won the tournament.
-George Cornelious
-Tom Liordos
-Tyler Nearing
-Elio D'Andrea
-Randy Fawcett
This tournament was stronger than I thought LOL. These are just some of the examples, there are a couple more on there.
Im just saying I think it should of been no more than the top 5 thats all. Top 8 with more than 64 players sure.
