Yea, you'll probably have to "continue session play" to stay in Top Gun. They did that to me with our 8-ball team at Regionals. We won the division, won City Cup, and when we went to regionals they said I couldn't play, because I was no longer on an 8-ball roster :frown:

My stats for this year aren't overly impressive. I hardly got to play, because of handicap limits. We are in first place, but some of our guys lost a lot of matches that should have been blowouts. 5-1 isn't bad, but I would have liked to play more than six times in sixteen weeks. I'll probably have to sit out at City Cup this time, I choked the last two times for 9-ball and I have a feeling they are going to cut me from the team due to the handicaps.

how the hell do you post your screen shot on here ? i was sucessfull in getting the screen shot into my computor and saved in the pictures section. i cannot figure out how to post it in this thread. i am worse on a computor than i am at playing pool. :embarrassed2:

You can include the screenshot as an attachment. There's a button with a paper clip icon above the text area where you type replies to posts.

If you don't want to include the entire browser in the screenshot, you will have to crop the image and for that, I would search youtube... people are putting up videos on how to do everything.

Be careful what you include in your screenshot, however...

well i am hoping it worked:grin-square: just looked at it after posting. i actually have 4 rackless in 8 ball this session. last sundays results are not posted yet. my stats dont look as good as most of you guys. like i posted in an earlier thread...my win % has been steadily declining over the last few sessions. guess i have reached my peak in my old age.

lets see if this one worked. yea ! as you can see this session was a pretty good one " for me any way. " i wish i knew why i have went down hill since i was doing pretty good back then. 8 ball was pretty strong for me at the time being a s/l 6. i was still a 4 in 9 ball at the time lol.
well i was fluctuating between a 4 and a 5 but finished the session as a 4. i could not believe i went from a 4 to a 5 back to a 4 all in the same weekend during the tri cups lol.

In our league every break and run, 8 ball break, or 9 ball break puts us in a drawing for a trip to Vegas if we throw in $1 in the pot. Cheap shot at it. You have to put a dollar in though to be in the drawing for each time you do one of those.

I wish we had that. Our LO's barely keep everything in balance, let alone the extra stuff. I mentioned to our LO's that we should have a grouping system like you showed me, with the different colored tiers. They said they "would look into it." I highly doubt it got past that conversation.

BTW, your new avatar is...

we had the same thing in our area lat year ....but it did not cost us anything. :D

if you earned a patch you just filled out a form requesting the form be put in the drawing instead of recieving a patch.

there were a few patches i took instead of the drawing...8 ball mini slam...i beat the lo ... and 8 ball break and run.

i have not hears if he will offer it again this year.

on a side note.....do any of you guys area offer the mini masters division ? our lo put out a flyer last year offering it. i told him i would def join but it has not developed yet.

About done with this session of league. Not a good season...we were beset with all manner of bad pool karma and calamity. Personally, I came down with a season long case of 'forgot how to play or think'. And apparently, it's catching.;)

Most of our matches, included the same post match handshake phrase...'Good match except for the kicking our ass part'.

Good league, good group, just not a good result this session, but still fun.

PS: we had a new team this season continue the time honored tradition of winning first place with a vastly underrated team.:p Over the course of a couple more seasons, those ratings will adjust to a more acceptable level of underration.

i have had plenty of those " forgot how to play or think " nights lol. that is why i am so inconsistent.

last night was a very good night but i was still kicking my self in the azz after the match was over.

after getting the crap beat out f me last tue and wed nights i played awesome last night.

38-31 race in 9 ball i won 38-7. the reason i was kicking my self was because in the last rack i rattled the pocket on the 7 trying to get shape on the 9 " 8 was pocketed on the break". if i had known i only needed the 7 i would have just made it and not worried about getting on the 9.

as i sat down after missing the 7 my score keeper said that was the game ball and you had a skunk going. i said ... WHAT ? well my opponent makes the hanging 7 but missed the 9. i sink the 9 winning 19-1 instead of getting my 2nd 20-0 skunk this session.

its just mind bogling how i can go from not making a ball and ...when i do make one i hook my self...to play 2 nights later cant miss a shot and get darn near perfect position every time ...until i made the classic mistake of thinking about the 9 while down on the 7. :embarrassed2:

Ouch! I'm sure your captain wanted to say something, but didn't want to be a distraction.. sounds like you were on a roll. Still a nice match tho.

tonight was the last week of this session in double jeapordy. we were in 2 nd place in 8 ball going into tonight. we lost 8-6 tonight. gotta wait and see how every one else did to see where we wind up.

i played a 5 in 8 ball that i think i have lost to more than i have won. i went into play off mode and saftied the shit outa him winning 4-2.

in 9 ball we were down 48-32 going into the last match. i threw myself and they threw the same 5 i played in 8 ball. i ran over him like a freight train winning 38-12 resulting in an 18-2 score. that tied us at 50- 50 .

if ya'll been keeping up with my ramblings on here you know i was lamenting the fact i play crappy some times and play above my self some times. winning my last 2 - 9 ball matches by 19-1 and 18-2 i wont be supprised if i am raised soon and then i really will be complaining on here about losing matches i feel i oughta win lol.

I still got it lol. I needed to win 18-2 or better to seal the top gun spot as I could tell the guy in first did not want to play to have a chance to lower his score. I played a 7 2 Sundays ago and won 65-15 or game score of 19-1 to just seal the deal. I didn't even play that well consistently this session but I am glad I was able to put it all together the last week to get the job done. I blackened out the names of course to protect the innocent :D

Your LO is leaps and bounds beyond ours. Y'all even have Points Per Match listed! :frown:

Yeah our LO is a good dude, much better than previous LOs we have had. We are lucky in that aspect. He still has to put up with a lot of whining from players and has stuck around so far, so kudos to him.

Is this your average score in 9 ball over the session? I understand yours but how is the 10th best player averaging a losing score? I wish our LO kept stats like this although my 9 ball was terrible this session. Only played 5 times and only won 3 of those. Liked my 8 ball though. 11 for 11. Team won first in 8 and 9. On to playoffs.

Most likely it is because you need a minimum of 7 plays to qualify so multiple people with winning records played less than 7 matches. Also, this is for the highest group (6-9) so there is less of a chance a lot of players will play a lot of matches since the team needs to make handicap (specifically 8s and 9s).

Gotcha. Our LO increased the min number of games to be eligible for playoffs from 4 to 5 last year. I squeezed them in just in case they need me in 9 although I am much less help to the team than in 8. 9 ball handicap and rules are tougher to fade.

our minimum requirement is 6 the last session with a minimum of 10 the last 2 sessions combined before play offs or higher.

guess ya'll can figure out the reason for that requirement. :grin-square:

We just finished the first half of our season last week. I'm not the team captain so I'm unsure of our record but I think we're at .500 or above. My wife has been scoring every shot in my games so I'll have to review her records but I suspect I've got a 75-80% win percentage/average thus far. Not bad, but my goal for next half is to win 90% or more. After this season is done, I think I'm going to trade my bar league night in for weekly tournaments in the area or possibly join a league that plays on 9ft.
