Stroke and alignment questions

Hello everyone. This is my first post on AZB.
I have a question with alignment and shot visualization.
(I am right handed.) When I line up a long straight in shot
while standing on the left side of the table I can line it up
just as it looks and get down and pocket the ball. While
standing on the right side of the table with this same shot
I have to visualize cutting the object ball 20% to the right
and line up in that regard to pocket the ball to execute a
stop shot.
For further information. When I set up a standard half ball
shot (cutting to the left.) I can aim my cue tip center through the
right edge of the object ball and execute the shot. On half ball shots
cutting to the right I will undercut the shot if I aim through the
left edge.
Help!!

My first reaction is that your head position in relation to the cue stick is changing. That changes your perception of what is actually a straight line. Get a mirror, or try using a video camera and shooting straight toward the camers. I'm betting your head position changes with different shots.

I'm betting that there are likely grip issues as well.

Another good possibility. It's obvious that something is changing, and it's pretty difficult to figure out exactly what that might be on the internet.

You in Vegas this week???

WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!!

If you have access to a video camera record yourself shooting from the front and rear positions shooting your cut shots on the left and the right side of the table.

PM me and I'll shoot you my email and see if we can't resolve your issue.

best wishes,
