Personally I wouldn't consider either of those cues to be a Sneaky Pete. :nono:

Both nice cues, but nothing sneaky about them.

sneakies

Here are some real sneakies. Cocobolo/straight maple, gaboon ebony/BEM, curly purple heart/BEM, and a one piece bocote. Made in USA by Schmelke.

RAT Sneaky

A treat out of Ryan Theewen's skilled shop...

Figured bacote into maple, with a white hoppe ring above a black butt cap.Stainless steel 5/16x14 joint, sandwiched between some tasteful dash ringwork with maple & green accents. Shaft is dense & moderately stiff, close to 13mm. Balance point is around 19" or so. Full cue rings in at just above 19oz.

I have pictures of my Al Link sneaky in it's unfinished state that I would like to post here, but I've never posted pictures before. PM me with instructions and I'll post the pics of my unfinished Pete, and later when it is finished. Thanks!

real sneaky pete

since no one else has posted photos of a sneaky pete i thought i would. real sneaky petes do not have, joint rings, inlays, fancy bumpers, wraps. they were made to fool someone into thinking you were playing with a bar cue. the cues i see pictured are just simple 4 prong cues with a few upgrades. i do not know what to call them, but they are not sneaky petes.

That is possibly the best Sneaky I have ever seen! The inclusion of the wood gouge really makes it look like a piece of crap off the rack. Just have to wear the heck out of that tip and no one would see you coming!

Nothing Fancy - but it plays!

I still love this cue. Great hit and a true sneaky from Mueller's. All still rolls perfect after lots of use and exposure to the elements. Still only $140 on the website. I really like the hand rubbed finish. I just can't stand the shaft getting all "blued" up so it still sticks out a bit, but overall it is a great bar banger cue!

I'm going to have a pooldawg8 Milk Dud tip put on this weekend! :)
