RIP custom cues

This means even BRW cues can't be shipped across borders, much like ivory.

Well, if they catch Dalbergia Nigra at a customs inspection, it gets seized

Does this make my Lucasi Cocobolo cue worth more?

Shipping is gonna cost 20% more.
Can't use the USPS no longer.

Bubinga is not even a rosewood .

Joey~ Thinks $400 up charge for BRW is too low now. Cocobolo just went up by $400 too ~

Looks to me like anything under 22lbs is good for international travel, so long as it isn't being commercially shipped. The crackdown seems to be focused on furniture and furniture manufacturers who use rosewood, not small items like pool cues. I personally don't see much coming of it, but I'm not immune to being wrong.

Cocobolo has been on the CITES list for a couple of years, which is why it's price quadrupled. There is an import permit that allows you to still get it, if you qualify. It would be the same for the other woods added. I've been hearing about the lust of China for Cocobolo for awhile.

Sort of... the part that Ebony is not a Rosewood, nor, like Bubinga, a popular
Rosewood substitute.
