Please turn volume up and hear the sound when Efren hits the ball.

Can you guys tell me:

- what kind of wood
- ferule material
- ferule installation type (capped, uncapped, what thread)
- tip brand and hardness
- weight

would do this?

I have several better cues that plays well but non has it... Did anybody figured out this?

Looks like Efren's old Judd cue.
Maple forearm with cocobolo handle.
Judd used the old good melamine ferrule. He did not cap them.
The were pressfit . That ferrule material is no longer available. What we have now is a pitty softer kind .

I was experimenting with loose grip, it helps but thats not it. The closest I come up with was an old 1 piece bar cue that had drilled (empty) inside of the butt and was very light.

Except Efren does not use hard tips. Just pressed elk master .
Btw, Rodney Morris's Szamboti in the video pings a lot more even.

In that setting you're hearing direct and reflected sounds. Along with the type of mic its kinda hard to tell exactly what sound the cue is making. I've had various cues that had a sound very close to what's heard on this video.
