Ki-Tech vs Techno-Dud

hang-the-9

I've only tried the Ki-Tech tips, a Soft and Medium. Both were great. That soft was the only soft tip that stayed soft through it's lifespan, and it also needed 0 fiddling with. It never mushroomed. Don't know if it was tip magic or my cue guy was especially on the day he put it on hehe. I just know that in months of playing with a soft tip, it always felt like a soft and never needed to trip/shape the sides. I think I just tapped it once a month to roughen the top.

The ping sound I think would come more from the ferrule and the joint than the tip, unless you went with a medium hard or hard tip. I know Joss cues tend to have a neat ping to them.

they're like homemade milk duds but more expensive

Easy solution for me. After the messages I recieved after I posted. I'll just let the customers who want them, buy them and I'll install. This way I don't lose anything on warranty. Just a little wasted time on the 2nd install.
