The Greatest Frame of Snooker?

It was wonderful to watch, but not the best ever.
To each his own, i prefer a 1-0 or 2-1 pitcher's duel
Instead of a multi home run, suicide squeeze and lead change
After lead change baseball game with hit batsmen, coaches arguing
And player ejections..i was surprised wilson didn't go for (or see?)
The simple red off the yellow into the middle here.

An easy shot, and would've been game over

That's not so easy, the yellow is lower than it looks. Plus a pressure decider, I don't love the shot

What’s the rules of snooker on that of the yellow dropped too?

that would be visit over and 4 points to opponent

i think from kyrens perspective the ball is too high for the carom. i've seen versions of that carom many times and i'm sure he knows the shot, but if it's too high it will probably stay near the pocket with cue ball close for mcgill to have an easy first shot. most if not all pros would prefer trying to shoot it straight in

Good question, i am pretty sure it’s a foul and end of break (inning)
But on these pockets i don’t see that happening.

After that last red goes in the middle
You pot any color, it is put back on it’s spot
And then you begin yellow-green-brown-blue-pink-black

Looked to me that he had frame and match (from my chair at home)

straightline

I think the lab/rehearsal environment contributed. Seems more like people grappling over their own money at a private club.

Little baffling to me that McGill didn't seem to make any adjustments when he kept missing the kick on the red.

Baffling to me that his stick is still in one piece after 10 or so misses in a row.

pj <- Sigel wouldn't put up with that crap

Carom is in good place if red is near straight to half ball hit to yellow. Even then there is risk to make the yellow coz carom from that place need to shoot with pace. That why he wont shoot it. You dont wanna risk losing like that..

In my opinion this one frame shows why Snooker is so incredibly far above any form of pool (any cue game to be honest) as a spectator sport. There are so many unique situations that happen in snooker that cannot happen in any other game. The extended drama of a snooker frame is unparalleled. Although there is the occassional fluke snooker is almost always decided by both skill and strategy. Shot and speed control tolerances are miniscule and a single frame of snooker can take as much concentration as an entire set of 9 ball or something like that. Not only that but it is fantastic to watch on TV and very easy to follow. It is the greatest of all the billiard type games and it is not even remotely close. And in terms of pure cuemanship O'Sullivan has no peer.

That shot on a snooker table is far harder that it seems. The pocket opening with that setup is incredibly small. Some shots on snooker tables that look easy are extremely difficult to make

The side pockets, i mean middle are pretty wide open
And the red into the corner was impossible but he played it anyway.

Well, what i meant was,
Hendry said middle
And i said middle off the yellow

The corner was basically impossible
