Alan, are the US championships always held on the west coast? Is there an entry fee involved or a some sort of required quailifying. Thanks in advance for any info. Maybe next year will be my chance.

In the recent past, the Nationals have been held in the Chicago area and at the NY Athletic Club. The format has been changing over the past few years and currently there are no qualifying tournaments -- only direct entry. The year that it was at the NYAC, there were east and west qualifiers.
