Hello cuemakers,

What is the difference between a Bear shaft and a Schon shaft? (technically speaking)

I have read that my favorite player prefers a schon shaft over a bear shaft and do not know why?

Thank you very much!!

If one shaft was better than all others, there would only be one shaft available. There are many shafts and different people say "this shaft is the best" . The best shaft is the one that you like and suits you...

I think the difference between any 2 shafts would be,

Characteristics/quality of wood chosen to begin with
The time and process used to turn it in to a shaft
Joint type and material
Taper
Ferrule
Tip (size, type etc.)

I'm not a cuemaker but I do try to be analytical about these things :idea2:
