I just posted a 41 a couple days ago, but I didn't get it on video. Last night, I ran a somewhat chaotic 40 on video. I'd love to have the link added if you don't mind.

I appreciate getting comments from other players. There is always something to learn. I'm starting to see the 3rd rack pretty consistently. This 40 run makes two runs in the 40's in the last couple nights. Seems like it's starting to come together for me.

Thanks.

Nice run.

Thanks for sharing. Straight pool is really a great game to practice. It helps so much in the other games. I also feel that straight is never boring to practice. It was good watching you to see how you ended up on your break shot in that 1st rack. I saw another way but any way works when you end up good on your break ball.

Okay, I have a confession

My high run for the year isn't 87.

Back in september I played a match with a gentlemen whose name I can't remember, which I mentioned in a previous thread, wherein we played to a 1 hour time limit. During this time I played my best pool ever imo, winning 176 - 3. I had runs of 115, 45 and 16.

I was a little embarrassed at the idea of having my name beside a great player like Danny Harriman. I realize that's not his actual high run for the year, but still.

Anywho, I told a buddy of mine about it and he's been bugging me to post it because he thinks I'm being silly. So there it is, 115 is my high for the year.

FWIW I ran 105 in March but decided against posting it due to a grievous foul which I played through. On my follow through my hand hit a ball which went into the stack and spread everything out (somewhat unconventional breakshot), as I was my own opponent I decided to allow myself to continue play with the layout as is . But I don't consider that an actual run.

I'm happy with the runs I've managed, considering I played very little pool this year and even less 14.1, almost entirely snooker. But I'm getting the bug again, I'm thinking of buying myself the 14.1 World Championships recommeded set from accu-stats.

Thanks.

lol, Unfortunately I already know who wins. I wish Accu-stats would keep the score hidden, where you can see it by clicking something if you really want to know. I just enjoy the aesthetics of the game. When I bought the Harriman vs. Schmidt 14.1 match from tar a couple of years ago I stayed off the forums for a month before it came out so as not to spoil the ending and was able to sweat it on DVD after the fact. Not quite the same, but fun none the less.

I still can't believe I did it, but I just ran 98 balls. I got stopped on the breakshot for the 8th rack. I lined up dead straight on the break ball and just didn't get enough angle to cheat the pocket and get into the rack.

I have to admit that by the end of the set, I had a pretty good adrenaline rush going. I can't imagine how these guys run 100+ all the time. It's exhausting.

I can't wait to get back to the table and get after it again.

I finally made it into the 2nd rack with a 17.

16 and 17 were both bank shots and I was left with a tough combo at the edge of the rack for 18 and scratched (Didn't make 18). This game is really difficult! :)
