neat con movie featuring a few scenes filmed at seattle's bygone 211 club
scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJYuZ5WytbQ

A billiard table is that richest of metaphors,
by turns a theatre, an altar, touchstone, gauntlet,
ritual ground, a gunfighter's high noon, a refuge,
a verdant landscape for balls to scatter and rest in meaningful synchronicity,
a classroom, a karma dance, mirror of moods, a guide and trusted friend...

-- from grissim's "billiards"

Loved this movie. Well acted and a very well told story about grifters and con games. One of the most realistic I ever saw, and the ending is a shocker!

Joe Mantegna and Lindsay Crouse. I liked this movie better than The Sting back in the day.

Player: Predator Panthera 3-1 Artist Proof

Not to mention the incomparable Ricky Jay.

Ricky Jay was one of my favorite magicians. I loved watching him and Richard Turner doing card tricks and gambling sleights. Just awesome.

Watched it in two sessions. I found the primary sting unlikable so I left the end for the next day. One thing I noticed, the title as an acronym is HOG. Flick's prolly full of wurd from the empire.
Here's some free wisdom - Always read the label.
