Anyone looking for delrin blanks for joints and buttcaps? I have a bunch leftover from a machining project.

39 pcs 2"dia x 2.2" long

211 pcs 1.5" dia x 1.35 long

Longer Miscellaneous cutoffs of each are also available

Rochling sustarin c acetal black

Make an offer on the lot, I'd rather not sell off bits at a time. Cash or trade.

not too many use delrin in cues anymore....... it doesn't like glue and does't take finish......... remember.. it is a cousin to Polytetrafluoroethylene .......... or non stick teflon

Plenty of people still use it . It is one of the most durable butt plates you can use . And one of the prettiest .
If you thread it and create locking channels, you'll never have problems.
Spain even used it as collar.
I've never had one come loose.
It's not a good idea to just let unglued weight bolt hold it in place .

Undercut by .007 just below the E ring and blend it with the finish.
Not having finish can be an advantage. No finish cracks.

Mr. Webb,

So is one purpose of the glue channel to allow a groove so that the glue has a place to harden and not allow the butt cap to unthread? Is this due to the lack of adhesion which occurs with Delrin? Also, is the white ring between the wrap and butt sleeve also Delrin? If so are you blending this section as well or finishing over? If finishing over would there not be adhesion issues with the Delrin?

Thank you
Delrin is very under appreciated on both new cues and repairs. Not counting it's use for tooling accessories.
Good luck with your sale.

Only Black?
I think delrin adds a beautiful finish for the cue base, the butt cap.
I'd be interested to have creme color butt cap size delrin (anyone)?
Look See.... that's what i'm talking about :grin-square:

I understand the Juma option.
But.....
Are you going to replace a delrin butt cap and put Juma then put finish on it????
That might upset some people with certain cues.
Just sayin!
