who have you played - 01-07-2020, 11:07 AM

I have played these well known guys...James Walden,Norman Hitchcock,Jr Norris,Gabe Owen and Verl Horn.Played a couple of Reds,Cornbread and Jersey and some guy named Chip.I lost to all of them except Norman. I did win an easy c-note off of Jersey Red when I bet him he would not make it thru our match without swearing.Might not have been much fun at times but it was an education.

i also was on the same table as cornbread red years ago(around early 90's). he was dang near the only one playing though. it was three games before he missed! this was way late in his life after he moved back to ky. he was still dangerous on the table.

I need to get out more. I did beat Brian Parks in a single game of short rack banks on a 7’ Diamond for $0. He said he couldn’t get a feel for the rails yet but I think he was just being friendly.

Ah, yes, how could I have forgotten Charlie? That was back when I made a black line on my ferrule (or where the ferrule would be on a stick that had a ferrule) so I could shoot with the same orientation of the stick on every shot. He saw the mark and immediately claimed it was an illegal aiming device. He went and talked to the TD to get my stick barred. I'm not sure what the TD said, but Charlie didn't mention the mark again.

I have played the following : Earl Strickland, Johnny Archer, Tommy Kennedy, Tony Robles, Mika Immonen, Allison Fisher, Jennifer Beretta, Lori Jon Jones, Danny Barouty, Johnny Tona ( friend of Mosconi and former touring pro for Brunswick) Jimmy Fusco, to name a few I have won games in an even up match against all of them, but never a full set against any of them.
