I have played these well known guys...James Walden,Norman Hitchcock,Jr Norris,Gabe Owen and Verl Horn.Played a couple of Reds,Cornbread and Jersey and some guy named Chip.I lost to all of them except Norman. I did win an easy c-note off of Jersey Red when I bet him he would not make it thru our match without swearing.Might not have been much fun at times but it was an education.

I played

Luther lassiter at our local pool hall in exhibition, he won,
Played Cuban joe valdez on a bar box, broke and ran 3 8 ball racks, he payed me, told his running mate. " we can find easier action than this " and walked out. When I found out who he was I'm glad he left, because i could not win.
Played snooker John, my house, one pocket, won the first game then no more.

[QUOTE.Played a couple of Reds,Cornbread and [/QUOTE]

i also was on the same table as cornbread red years ago(around early 90's). he was dang near the only one playing though. it was three games before he missed! this was way late in his life after he moved back to ky. he was still dangerous on the table.

I need to get out more. I did beat Brian Parks in a single game of short rack banks on a 7’ Diamond for $0. He said he couldn’t get a feel for the rails yet but I think he was just being friendly.

you forgot Charlie Bryant (Hillbilly). I saw you playing him at the Galveston Classic in 2009, I think.
Ah, yes, how could I have forgotten Charlie? That was back when I made a black line on my ferrule (or where the ferrule would be on a stick that had a ferrule) so I could shoot with the same orientation of the stick on every shot. He saw the mark and immediately claimed it was an illegal aiming device. He went and talked to the TD to get my stick barred. I'm not sure what the TD said, but Charlie didn't mention the mark again.

Never played anyone that AzB would know. I played straight pool with a guy that *looked* like John Schmidt. His name was Tyrone from NJ.

Also it’s possible I played Black balled the other day...BB were you in Springfield pretending you didn’t know what a 9’ table was, and that you had never played 1P..and then tangling decently before succumbing to my might? Most likely not but it could’ve been
