Friend at work gave me a few busted carbon fiber arrow blanks
So I drilled about 14 inches into purpleheart and epoxied one in
Will put on a G-10 ferrule and see how it works later this week

Is this for a break cue shaft?

I see two possible changes that could take place.

One could contend that the cue ball squirt will be reduced because there is material removed from the center of the cue shaft. Most importantly would be that material removed closest to the tip end. I think there will be a reduction, but don't think it will be substantial. Basically, the amount of mass removed is not significantly less than that of the carbon fiber tube that replaced it. Also, the large G-10 ferrule will add quite a bit of mass.

I do think that the carbon fiber tube will make it break a little harder. That is provided you hit the middle of the cue ball.

I'm looking forward to hearing your findings!

I really love R&D!

Personally I expect the shaft to take a bit of a left turn about, oh, say 14 inches back from the ferrule.

What are you hoping to see or gain from the tube inside the shaft?
Have you got any specs or info on the arrow shaft material?
Like how is it made up, etc
Enquiring mind.

Exciting!! I love the idea of a stiffer hitting Predator-style mod. Ferrule seems a bit large/heavy, though, right?

Keep us posted! I know that Bob Dzuricky has been doing this sort of thing for awhile now. I have always wanted to know how a carbon fiber reinforced, hollow front shaft matchs up to a Predator.
