We won't to invite everyone to come out and attend the 4th Annual Great Dismal Swamp 9 Ball Classic here in Elizabeth City,Nc. This is a 32 player field event and our tournament director is Tommy Kennedy. The event officially kicks off on Wednesday Oct 17th with an exhibition between Johnny Archer and Tommy Kennedy. The tournament action starts on Thursday night Oct 18th. We are located just 45 mins from Norfolk, VA so if your planning on playing in the Open then our event would be a perfect warm up tournament for you. We have a lot of top pros and amateurs who will be in this field. Also in attendance will Mr Joe Blackburn and Mike Burton from Joss Cues. Vip seating is for sale for this event and for $50 you can watch the entire event!!! All the seats are good ones and we have 50 that are up for sale. We will also be cooking ribs out on the grille and doing cue raffles.

As well as these people have treated them...

Not that I am anybody, but I am a little disappointed in the turn out for the Dismal Swamp Classic. I have traveled from Washington State to the the last 2 (there have been only 3) and I will tell you, these people treat you right! The whole town is into it.

The Cartwright family is incredible! Chauffeuring them (the pros and probably anyone else who asked!) around, I am talking go out to eat, pick up or drop off at the airport, take you to your hotel, most anything you would ask them. Especially the international players.

It is a bummer the tournament schedule reconfigured, they have had some of the best fields in pool for the size of the tournament (32).
It was literally a miniature U.S. Open.

The room is beyond intimate, 4 9ft tables and they set up bleacher seats on 1 side. Not a bad seat in the house.

This is one of those tournaments the pros should support because the community welcomes them.

It is truly one of those times the town steps up, the organizers actually make it worth while to to be there.

Exactly what is needed, a community that wants you there. Show up!

Thanks for the nice post. This year will probably be our last year hosting this event. It has been a struggle this year trying to lock this field up. We are a couple weeks out and still have 15 spots left unpaid. We are offering a very good payday to our players and we don't take out any green fees. We have $7000 in added money from generous sponsors this year. Also this year we were able to land Johnny Archer here. Both his self and Tommy Kennedy will be doing an exhibition complete with trick shots and challenge matches. This event will be free of charge and will be held on Wed Oct 17th. We also have our returning champion Jayson Shaw coming back which was great news. A few new faces will be here such as Alex Kazakis, Denis Grabe, Jesus Atencio, and John Morra. We are currently in works with landing another star player from Europe now and hopefully we can add his name to the paid player list. If you are a player planning on attending the Open in Norfolk then our event should be perfect for you. This is a perfect warm up event and just for note, two of our past 3 winners that have left Elizabeth City have gone on to win the US Open the following week.

Our event is open to all players both amateur and pro. You don't have to receive an invite and if your an amateur your almost guaranteed to play a champion. We encourage everyone to come check us out this year. We will be cooking some great food on site and we will also be doing some cue raffles. Not to mention we are the hometown of one of the greatest to ever play the game Luther "Wimpy" Lassiter.

Seats are up for sale now at $50. They are all great seats with really good views of all 4 tables. The $50 gets you free admittance all 3 days!!!! Don't wait to long to get these because we only have 60 to sell.
