Better pictures are needed to appreciate this cue's veneers.
1st photo has too much glare from sunlight and 2nd photo is angled.
A full length photo & forearm closeup would enhance pics of this cue.
Great stacking of the veneers to produce a nostalgic image of the past.

John brought the points together at the wrap, but not with this much runout, 1/4 to 1/2 inch beyond touching at the wrap.

Matt is right, the pictures do not give a clue as to what this cue is. Though it looks nicely made.

All the best,
WW

Can you clarify what you mean by runout?

I probably didn't use the right term, but I was referring to the position of the points with respect to the start of the wrap. You could call it how much the points are pushed up the forearm, or you could call it where the wrap starts relative to the points. I'm sure you understand what I mean, though there may not be a one-word term for it.

I thought the wrap started a bit low relative to the beginning of the points to be one of John's, but Duane's pictures are interesting. They don't quite show a good enough closeup, but have to admit there's a bit of doubt. There are probably some other cuemakers that do this style as well. In any case, nice looking veneers.

All the best,
WW
