So true. I'll add that the single elimination format in this event was a breath of fresh air and will have proven the perfect warmup for the US Open for those still in with a chance.
Good tournament format. Only thing missing is modern 9 ball breaking rules,a break box, 9 on spot and a template...

Hi Stu,
I think it’s awesome that the WPA players championship took place. I’m even happier that griff’s could host it and that CSI could produce it.
But one thing needs to be mentioned. ALL THE ADDED MONEY came from WPA. This event was their idea and the format was their concept. It’s a combined effort by several entities, but the WPA must get a huge credit for making it happen.
Just wanted to publicly say thank you to Ian Anderson, and the WPA staff.
