I recently bought a brunswick balke collender circa 1912? and like another I had, am not able to find any that look like it to identify the model. any help would be appreciated. i have a serial number as well, but from what i can tell so far, that doesn't much help since brunswick isn't really able to do much with it to give any info. I have looked through the brunswick antique tables on their site and google searched it to death but no luck so far. thanks in advance! -jerry

The table looks more like a Niagara model made by Wendt out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Congratulations on both the table and your first post in almost 7 years!

I like people that take their time and don't rush in too quickly.

I seriously considered that table! where are you? I'm located in Hastings, that was just north east of Grand Island if I remember correctly. I'll be watching to see how you like it once it's cleaned up.

I'm in Omaha, so a bit of a drive to get it, but not bad. Now that it's apart in my basement, I have a better picture of the work I have. The veneers on the legs will need to be addressed, probably replaced entirely, but for the most part, the rest of the veneers will only require piecing in repairs. the rail facing boards, the rails, and the slate are a 7.5 out of 10 considering the age I'd say. I love the 6 leg design, the ball return, and the dark finish. I'll try to post pics as i move along.

I will take a look at that model, thank you. It is definitely a bbc though. The guy I bought it from said he knows a guy in the town where he lives, now in his 60s, that swears he moved that table into the basement I moved it out of.. when he was in high school. No wonder the rails are in good shape. :)

Maybe it a Kling model. I think there were 4 in the line with the Alexandria being the top of the line

I can only imagine how much work went into manufacturing that pool table. That thing is a monster! I suspect it weighs close to 2000 pounds. No plywood there. :)
