Thanks Iusetoberich for the page updates.

Thanks to everyone for the vids to watch.

For those of you that don't have a camera, I HIGHLY suggest you do your best to put vids up.

If you've never done so, you just may find yet another way to put pressure on yourself.

Again, thanks to everyone.

I played the 9 ball ghost 3 or 4 sets today. The best I got was lose 2-7. But, on one game, I made a great 3 bank out:) I'll take it. I was playing position on the 8 to be near the template rack that was left on the table, but the spin took it away, forcing another bank. Video of the out below.

Finally, 7-0 win. 8-Ball BIH

I sucked at the 9-Ball tournament the other weekend. First set race to 15 I was down 0-7 and came back 7-9 but just couldn't pull ahead, lost 11-15. 2nd match it was neck and neck all he way up until the 20th rack then he pulled ahead and I lost 10-15.

Oh well, next time.

10-Ball Ghost Victory

I beat the 10-ball ghost for the first time today (2-12-2020) and filmed it. Score was 7-3. Table is Oversized 8 foot Gandy with reduced size pockets.

For me the 10 ball ghost seems a bit easier than the 9-ball ghost because even though I make a ball almost every time in 9-ball there are usually 4 or more balls below the footspot in 9-ball. And if they arent below the footspot they are usually clustered together on the right long rail. I guess my break needs more work. Does anyone else have this problem?

Good shooting.

As for your 9 ball break questions. Do a vid of you doing this:

Rack the balls like this with 1 ball on spot. Make sure the rack is straight. Use a template if possible. Also, make sure the balls are clean but not polished slick.

................1
..............6..3
............4..9..5
..............7...8
................2

Break from the side of table that the 6 ball is on or rack the balls opposite if you break from other side of table.

Put edge of CB 4 to 5 inches off long rail at head string.

Break the balls by hitting head ball square and keep cb inside center table area.

After you break, let them set there for a minute or so.....then repeat by racking the same way and breaking from exact spot. Make sure you monitor your stroke speed and try your best to keep it consistent.

After you do the above around 6 or 8 times move the cb over toward center table by 2 or 3 inches and repeat......for 6 to 8 times....

Move cb over again etc...etc

After you have reached the diamond cross section...post the vid and let everyone put their experience to work for you...

Good luck sir,

Jeff

BTW, the reason the balls need to be racked the same is because that way you will learn a great deal about what happens during a break to give you a better idea of the destination of each ball in the rack after the break.

That is called pattern racking and is not to be used in tournaments etc...etc. But, it is a really good teaching tool for the break.

Also, don't try to kill the head ball. Break at 75% speed.

Nice, man. I like your pace, a good quick rhythm. And sweet shooting.

I have trouble with the 9 ball break sometimes. Balls clustering on the side I break from. I like the 10 ball break better for sure and I keep neglecting 9 ball break practice. I like Jrc method of working on it but I set them up numerically so I know what was where without having to think lol.

Working on getting a GoPro, but here’s me beating the 9 ball ghost 7-3 shot with my iPhone. Some silly mistakes on the 3 losses, but I got through it. Snapped a 9 in the side.

Tascarella cue, 9ft GCII.

Hope y’all like bluegrass by the way lol.

I had my table redone, from the 4" pockets to 4.5", similar cut to a Diamond Pro, 9' Brunswick. New balls, new cloth. Playing the ghost for AZ was a motivating factor, plus the humidity here (near the ocean) makes everything play tighter. On my old 4" pockets, the best i ever did was beat the ghost 7-2 with BIH. I beat the nine ball ghost last night 7 - 1 with BIH. Should have been 7 - 0 but I dogged an open out. Have a feeling I can do better on a longer session. Got a couple of rolls including a kick-in. Don't know if I'll post that video just yet so let's keep this unofficial for now.

Hello pool brothers & sisters. I've decided that trying to skunk the ghost is very stressful so I've decided to just play to beat the ghost and if I end up with a 7-0 skunk then it's just icing on the cake.

Here is a 9-Ball BIH victory 7-1 with my brand new Cyclops pool balls. Hope you enjoy.

I have been really busy last month(I am now also installing tables to Diamond Europe :)) and finally got chance to play set versus Ghost. I decided to play 10-Ball Pro and lost it 6-7...
I had my chances and I was breaking super good somehow. Video coming up later today or tomorrow.
Funny to see my game seems to stay sharp even I only shot 4 times last month with small bets. I did run one set (race to 6) from my opponents dry break.
