Jerry Rauenzahn took an old titlist cue and low and behold it turned out to be Brazilian Rosewood. He managed to use an ivory substitute for the barbells and gun sights, Hoppe ring, and recessed joint. If anyone remembers the AZ member that sells this material please PM me his name and info, I've misplaced his name. OOPS!!! It's very hard to tell it's not real ivory. He's one of the AZbilliards members selling this material which hits and plays great. The leather wrap is called Spanish bull made and sold by Martin Bick here on AZ.

Cue weighs in at 19.0 oz and has his favorite stainless steel 5-16/14 pin. Cue has unbelievable balance and feel. Also notice the thick nickel/silver rings you can't find anymore. I love the old school looks and consider this one of my hidden gems from Mr. Rauenzahn's builds.

Enjoy,

John Marshall

Man, I am a sucker for Rosewood especially Brazilian, as evidence in the cue I post.
I don't remember seeing a Titlist with gun sights before (I'm sure they exist, just haven't seen one) and I really like it! Those are some nice cue, Sir. The Titlist with matching shaft is cool as a fan!

Nice!! I like those simple barbell inlays a lot! Looks like gorgeous wood too!

Are my eyes playing tricks or is the nickle silver ring on the shaft a different thickness than on the butt. You sure you didn't pair up the wrong shaft with this butt?

Great looking conversion! I just got a PH and a BRZ RW back from Cohen and I'm going to have a hard time parting with them. I really like the inlays on yours!

My LG-5 phone has a wide angle optical option which make them look distorted. If I took the pics with the shaft closest to the camera it would look bigger than the forearm ring. Looks can be deceiving.

But then wouldnt that make the black phenolic ring on the shaft, tip side of the nickle, look thinner then too? It's thicker on the shaft than on the butt.. That doesn't make sense..... Maybe you can share a pic straight above the joint and shaft at no angle lined up.. That would clear things up..

Just got time to take a look at this one.

Really sweet conversion!

Thats what I was thinking...By Jerry or JM? Maybe JM will post a pic of the right shaft..

You AZ'ers are pretty sharp!!!

OOPS!!! I realized the shafts are all in a bundle together and I messed up. My bad.

All the conversions are Jerry Rauenzahn's work with his name on each butt, however I have combined the shafts together to save space. They are new without having any chalk on them.

That's a very impressive collection. ......but how about a picture of the new cue with the proper shaft?

Yeah that's what I was thinkin too since out of all those cues that cue is the only one with the old thick nickle rings..

Lets get this show n' tell corrected ;)

There was no doubt in my mind of that. Jerry builds cues with consistent shaft rings. John happens to own so many, it's easy to get a photo shoot a bit off.

All the best,
WW

Ehhh. Seems JM may have compensated by posting a very Distracting alternative.. instead of admitting the mistake may be on Jerry.........or maybe not. Lol
