I presently use harder tips,
but going to try sniper ….
I use gel S/G-Install tips on a small machinist lathe
trim/cut side of tip with new utility blade-then shape
Same apply for Sniper Soft tips ????

Yep, same process.... just make sure to use a new razor blade.

I cut it most of the way down with super sharp right hand high speed tool bit then trim the rest off flush to the ferrule with utility knife.
