I found success finding the quarter ball by using the edges of my cue so one edge the same distance
from the ball's edge as the other cue's edge is to the other ball's edge.
Damn, that sounds complicated, but it isn't.
I confirmed that by setting up a quarter ball hit and practiced finding that spot that way.
Now, I don't even think about it.
It is (was) the hardest "spot" to find, imho.
