Gosh, it’s been 40+ years since I played with a cue that used a cork wrap.
If my recollection serves me well, it was so different that I liked it right away.

Dunno if that makes sense but it’s like eating at Nathan’s Coney Island for
the first time (Corner Surf & Stilwell Aves in B’klyn). As you approach the
open counters, before even seeing the food, you just can tell from the aromas
of all the different foods it is going to be just amazing......and it really is too.

Thanks for the update! I was thinking it was either zebrawood or marblewood. Looks to be treated well. The large pores require filling before finishing.
