So they got a patch on their shoulder and you think that means what? The guys get a few bucks for promoting them in an event they have nothing to do with. APA does nothing for pro pool.
Christ they give you guys $400-600 and say you won a trip to Vegas when it costs players 4 times that to be there. The pitiance they give you doesn't even pay for the rooms (that APA gets cash kickbacks for filling with players). And you say I'm the stupid one. They make money filling the casino with players.
Bass Pro Shops sponsors Nascar. So do a host of others that have a absolutely nothing to do with race cars. That's wrong?
The APA is an AMATEUR pool players organization. If they want to get their name out there, promoting themselves in a pro event, then more power to them.
When our team went to Vegas, it was all expenses paid.... Two hotel rooms, round trip airfare for everyone, and entry fees. I only paid for food and entertainment.
If you know a league operator that has done that to his players, then I expect him not to be in business long. You see, it's not the APA that sends players to Vegas. It's the small business owner...the League operator. So if he want to run his business like a douchebag, then I guess the players will vote with their feet.
Trent from Toledo might be able to collaborate this.... There was a league operator out of Toledo that was doing unscrupulous things. The APA National office stripped him of his franchise, and sued him for liable. Pretty sure he lost his establishment because of it. It was Called "21 West". The LO (James Cavender... figured I'd give him a plug)from Southern Michigan temporarily took over... a very outstanding guy.... until a new LO could take over. The division was split in half and both are healthy. You see, the APA isnt everything you say it is.
