when you are experimenting with different shaft tapers do you turn one in the same time frame as one of your regular shafts, or turn one down in a few passes finish it and hit it as soon as possible? just curious.
personally i use the second method. no use waiting months or years to find out you don't like a taper. also, the shaft is not meant to last, it's an experiment.
