Decent Snooker Cue Purchase

I am not looking to break the bank, but am looking for a decent oiled snooker cue here in the U.S. I see several brands, but of course without being able to see them in person (looking on the net) I don't want to buy something that needs to be stripped down and oiled. Some I have seen available are Riley, Elite, and Peradon. Riley and Elite seem to be very inexpensive (wondering if this means quality is good?) while the Peradon's seem to be a little higher in price. Any information/experience someone could give would be much appreciated.

Of the three you mentioned, I would go with a Peradon (Riley cues = junk, in my mind). You didn't mention if you've previously owned a snooker cue, so if this is a first purchase, you'd likely want to keep your costs down. I noticed in the classifieds that Jim Baxter has a Peradon two-piece ash snooker cue for sale at around $85. It would be a decent starter cue. Make sure the tip is serviceable and get to pottin' balls.
