I'm thinking of going for the whole event this year. I was going to play in the USBTC in Reno, but its scheduled during my wife's b-day and that won't go over well. I will probably play in the banks and 9-ball. Not a one pocket man, but like to watch. Need to firm up my plans in the next month. Can't wait to get my pool fix..... Haven't played seriously since BCA Vegas in May.

This will be my first time going. Does the casino serve free breakfast? Do the rooms have mini-fridges? I basically plan on living there during the DCC and while I will eat there I wouldn't mind bringing some food with me as well. Just like cereal and milk for breakfast unless they serve breakfast for free.

They serve free breakfast if you are betting enough in the casino !! But, seriously we did have a mini fridge full of expensive goodies so a cooler is reccomended if you want your money to last. Unless you are gambling in the casino nothing is free there. You should have a great time though we always do.

I have been to all but the 1st one, I would stay at the casino and split a room if I were coming. I normally bring a cooler with beer and cokes, and have cheese and bread around the room and maybe eat at the buffett every other night. I don't really spend a lot on the food and drinks because I bring my own drinks.

I'm thinking about going this year for 3 days. Would I be better off taking a cab from the air port (Louisville) to the casino or renting a car? Also I have heard that they run a shuttle bus from the air port to the casino, anyone know if this is true?

he runs a shuttle between the airport & the casino.
I have his number somewhare, i will look for it & get back to you.
No need to spnd the extra money on a rental car.

Breezy b,

last year enzo's cell number was 313-268-4203
i do not know if it has changed or not.
Nice guy, last year he picked up my dad at the airport as soon as he landed, only charged $20, about half the cost of a taxi ride.
Good luck, hope to meet you at the derby,

Spouse?

Does the event entry fee include admission for your spouse?

I searched the site, and didn't see a answer to that question. But, I did see that VIP passes did not include entry for a spouse. My guess is that it's every "person" must have a player entry, or a daily "door" admission. I've always entered as a player, so I had access included.

See you there.

I just talked to Enzo today, he will be driving again this year. He told me to call him before I get on the plane and he would meet me there. He is having to drive longer this year due to the bridge being closed, so I don't know what the cost will be. He is a good guy, and a good pool player, so he should take care of us if we need a ride.
