Ok how does one get in the list? They don't have a website so what is the number? I might as well make the list a little longer....hopefully I'm still playing pool in the next 11 years

They are in the phone book. Easy to find the number with five minutes of searching on the net. You can even find an image of their business card.

Lightbulb Someday!!!! - 02-17-2012, 09:01 PM

I put an order in to be on the Southwest list years ago, and joked about would I get my Southwest, or Medicare Card First.

The Medicare Card showed up a few moths ago, and will be valid in about 30 days.

No Ringe Ringe Ringe Ringe, or e-mail yet from Laurie. But I am not loosing SLEEP over the Southwest, as I have a good chance of my turn coming up before ending up here.

so i was thinking the other day, daydreaming about when my turn would come up.

if cues from 2001 are just being made now, since then, there has been many advances in technology and the ways in which we communicate and market ourselves (not that southwest does any active marketing)

i suspect that since 2001, things like azb probably has increased exposure to how to get in contact w/ southwest and their no deposit policy.

as a result, i can only imagine that their lists have only increased since then and have not stabilized, meaning that the wait time will only increase.

if they only make ~200 cues/year, i can guarantee that since laurie's number has been posted numerous times, that last year alone, there were probably more than 100 people that put their name on the list.

just food for thought.

I have owned 4 Southwest Cues I have one left and 2 on order(2003). Its funny how some people will complain about the wait time or even how they were not impressed with the cue, but im sure theses same people would love to be the next one in line! I spoke to Laurie last week she is always so plesant to talk to, I don't mind waiting another 2 more years for my cues! As a matter of fact Mon. I think I will order 2
more!

SW is pretty unique. Most cue makers with a 10 year wait make in the 8 to 15 cues per year range (Searing, Hercek, B. Szam, etc). That means while their wait list is forever, there are really only about 100 people on it. SW makes upwards of 300 cues a year, which means there are some 3000 people on their list. I don't think there's another maker with a following that strong.

Thanks

Kevin
