Parchment Paper

Someone had mentioned in another thread they use parchment paper on their
shafts to slick them up. Anyone else had success with that?

...also works great as a medium release for ironing on all your league patches.

never thought of it as a polishing item

I've used it for polishing linen wraps. Especially Cortland.

Yeah, it works. Brown paper from a grocery bag works well too.

I used to use brown paper bags to burnish my shafts before purchasing a lathe. Worked great.

Its just non'stick brown paper. As stated above generic brown grocery sack paper works great.

Yes , I had a huge success with it. I do it everytime I clean my shafts. I take a mr clean pad dampen with 91% alcohol and then when dry I burnish the shaft with parchment paper, It makes it smooth and slick as glass,
