As the only customer in the pool hall,I was sitting at the bar watching a bad movie. From the movie came a great line.One character responded to a cohort who didnt want the group to practice. "Questioning practice only
practices questioning."
That was enough to get me at the table practicing!

I'm struggling with this quote, but I do buy into the quote that "failing to prepare is preparing to fail."

Practice is how you prepare for competition, so if you plan to compete, that should be enough motivation to practice.
