Hopefully the event is a success and they are able to expand it to at least 96 next year.

I'd rather watch 10 Ball any day over 9 Ball.

2:30: Shaw vs. Li Wen Lo
5:00: Appleton vs. Pagulayan
7:30: SVB vs. Billy Thorpe

Streams and replays should be here: http://www.youtube.com/csipool

Thanks. Those same 4 match times are shown again for Tuesday. Then Wednesday has 5 times: 10:00, 12:30, 3:00, 5:30, and 8:00. No times are shown yet for Thursday and Friday, and we don't yet know whether they will stream a match in each of those time slots.

Huh, I wonder if that's Yang Fan of Chinese 8 Ball fame. If so, he's one of the best going in that game, and I look forward to seeing how he performs outside of his usual discipline.

On a related note, the Chinese 8 Ball org Joy has been putting on challenge matches between top pros in their game, only playing 9 ball instead of 8 ball, but on those same tables. Yang Fan was one of the participants; here's a video of him running 4 consecutive racks from a recent match: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRBh_zalX1A&t=2s

I have a limited understanding of Chinese....or English for that matter...
...but Iím guessing that Yang Fan is a macho competitor....

A couple of other notes from the player’s handbook here.

It’s similar to Matchroom’s US Open in that there’s a 16-player single elimination stage 2.
Referee racks, no player inspections.
40-second shot clock on streaming table only.
Alternate break.

And that shows the match times for Thursday and Friday as well.

Thurs. -- same as Wed. (10:00, 12:30, 3:00, 5:30, 8:00)
Fri. -- 12:00, 3:30, 8:00

So 21 match time slots in total. If they stick with no more than 4 a day on stream (as this past week), it would be 19 matches streamed.

Should be a really good event.

They seed top 16 seeds according to WPA ranking.
1 Joshua Filler
2 Alex Kazakis
3 Carlo Biado
4 Niels Feijen
5 Jayson Shaw
6 Shane Van Boening
7 Pin-Yi Ko
8 Jung-Lin Chang
9 Chris Melling
10 Ping-Chung Ko
11 Fedor Gorst
12 Eklent Kaci
13 Albin Ouschan
14 Denis Grabe
15 Ralf Souquet
16 Yu Hsuan Cheng

64 player brackets can be divided into 8 groups of 8. To progress to last 16 single elimination stage, need to win 3 consecutive matches i.e. be undefeated in their group of 8.
8 from winners side and 8 from losers side will make up last 16.

From top to bottom, Groups 1, 5,6 look the toughest.
