I found MUSASHI- BUT ONLY IN JAPANESE....SO FAR"
Thanks for looking it up for me

Hey Duane, Kao Kao in China is the mega huge cuemaking enterprise. They would be my number one guess as the maker of any decent looking copycat cue. My understanding is they have many different levels of cues they can build and brand.

If I had to guess, I would say a factory in Guangzhou, China. Literally everything is copied there. Cues, watches, handbags, jeans... You name it.

I wouldn't mind buying a cheap fancy cue from another country, but I think it is in bad taste buying blatant knockoffs with signatures/logos of famous cues.

I remember the SW "tribute" cues from Kaiser that were very popular. Still want to get my hands on one. There was one at a charity raffle, and I won one of the 3 cues but I was the last one picked and the guy before me grabbed the Kaiser

They even make perfect copies of old silver dollars, dated in the 1800's and early 1900's. I bought a few for five dollars each several years ago and didn't know they were fake until I got back home and showed them to a coin dealer.

I highly doubt that Adams would make a copy of a well known cue makers cue and put his logo on it. This sounds like something the Chinese would do, since they are the masters of imitation, including the U.S. hundred dollar bill. Their copies are virtually undetectable and have been used openly in Macau casinos for years for many years now.

So far, all I'm seeing are pictures of cues that are "advertised" from the seller.

I'd like to see a picture of one of them that was actually delivered to a customer.

Dude answered my message. I asked for pics of actual cues and he dodged it. Just said they're hand-made in "their" shop. Those pics are of ADAM Musashi and those sell for about 4grand. The Musashi line is the only ADAM cues still made at Sayama plant in Japan. All others are made in same factory as Lucasi/Players/Predators.

You are also most likely dealing with post-ban ivory.

I am not sure there is any way to stop these KopyKats, but if you feel like it you can start a campaign by notifying e-bay some of the Logo's Reproduced on the copy Cues are Registered TradeMarks.

Not sure it will do much good, as IMHO E-bay wants their commission from seller sales. Also the famous company S.T. DuPont Cigarette & Cigar Lighter, are copies and offered for sale on e-bay. The sellers in their discription use the name "DuPont" that is DuPont's trademark name.

Think this is all about making a buck by folks "off-shore" in many countries who will copy anything they can, that will sell. Be it a Pool Cue, Spyderco Knife, Micro-Tech Knife, Cigarette Lighter, Cigar Lighter, Sport Team Jersey, etc.

E-bay is known for selling counterfits, and knock offed items. But their are also good deals to be had from honest seller on E-bay.

Buyer beware.

There are all kinds of cues on eBay that are supposedly made by the ADAM company in Japan, but I'm betting the vast majority of them are made in China.

I haven't seen very many that said made by ADAM/Japan and they're usually the older Japanese cues. This Filipino guy uses pics of ADAM cues to just scam people.BTW, only Musashi and a few Mugens are still made in Japan. The Universal factory(Lucasi/Players/Predator/Buffalo,etc) makes all the other ADAM cues. I have contact info for agents of the Japanese factory if anyone wants a cue. That Musashi in the dude's pic is around $4000US and is made as nice as any cue made. The craftsmen at the ADAM Sayama plant are very good.

Sadly counterfitters stay in business because their is a market for their goods. Remember the last time I went to a Mexican Border Twon to buy prescriptions drugs.

There were knock off Oakley Sunglasses, Designer Pruses, and MLB, NFL Football, MLB counterfit goods for sale. Tourist were buying, and the Customer Agents at the border let them come in with out question.

Customs, DHS, and Border Patrol are looking for ilegles, bomb, teorrists. Counterfit products are a low priority.

^^^^^ exactly!!!, the pics look good because those are not his cues, what you would receive in the mail will not look (or be) the same.
