Pro pool on glorious Gold Crown 6 Cushions

We don't get to see much pro pool on new GC's anymore. Going on right now is the All Japan Championship. Its being played on brand new GC6's. Take a look at the stream matches on youtube below. Look at the speed the balls bounce off of the cushions. Its noticeably slower than the Diamond cushion that is now dominating the pro scene. Look at the angles the balls take off the cushions. Nothing even remote to "short".

This is how a cushion is supposed to play, IMO of course;)

I watched about 45 min of the first match, but didn't see any of the other ones. The ball reactions off of the rails is simply beautiful. Thanks for listening:)

Well said I could not agree more.
Green cloth, proper rebounds, gold crown
with tournament edition pockets.
It brings a tear to my eye.

Those tables look like Gold Crown 6's

I believe Yalin may be a distributor for Brunswick.

I hear you.

My opinion is this. If that GC6 plays plays like a GC4, then there isn’t a big difference between it and a Blue label Diamond.

That GC6 is butt ugly.

Those are definitely Brunswicks. Yalin makes a knock offs of the 6's, they look identical. I think they are actually the company that makes all the castings and metal trims for Brunswick. Can anyone confirm this??

Yeah, cool story, bruh..... And one also can't manipulate banks to the same extent as they can on a Diamond.

And folks don't get punished as extremely for coming up thin on balls.

Yawn.

Playing pretty darned good, thanks. Plays much better than all the plastic-shimmed tables in the Hessen region, according to all the club members who've come over and played on it. I am playing good enough lately that I am playing Verbandsliga this season, played two Oberliga matches to fill in, with a 75% win percentage against players generally in the 600+ Fargorate range, and am likely going to be invited to play Oberliga full time next season.

How you hittin' em, Mr "Table Mechanic"?:D:rolleyes:

Good to hear, I do know you are good player :)

I always have fun working on them and playing on them :) I knew right away I would never make any money playing on them :) Lucky I made a business working on them :)

Same cushions on the later 3s, and 4s, 5s as well. Brunswick don't make a GOLD CROWN 6 CUSHION.

I like seeing them playing on the Brunswicks, maybe it's the table, maybe it's just that it isn't bright blue, lol.

As to the cloth, and I don't know about anyone else's experience, but I had my old Anniversary moved, re-leveled and new cloth earlier this year.

Had Simonis 860 HR put on it (unfortunately the Simonis green isn't all that green, but no big deal). The difference in how fast the table plays is striking compared to the felt-like cloth I had before. I was surprised how much different it is (and I like the difference, btw).

And thanks again to one of the folks kind enough to help with the cloth recommendation who may be posting in this thread. ;-)

No knock-off. Yalin makes them. What percentage i don't know but Brunswick told me this directly a couple years ago. Brunswick in Bristol is basically just an assembler. Make very little(any??) of the table. Its been that way since late 70's.

I bet they end up Buying Brunswick if it comes up for sale. It would only make sense, IF, they have the loot of course!
