You really have to watch the depth adjustment and don't want to apply too much pressure.
It can take a chunk outta your ferrule very easily if not careful.

I have one it is OK but you need to be very careful with it. It is not forgiving if you adjust it wrong.

I've had one for a few years if its the porper big shaver you're asking about. Its very easy to screw up a ferrule if not careful. Its likely to leave an indented ring around the shaft below the ferrule when using the conical screw in thing to apply pressure against the shaft when trimming the tip to proper diameter. Tape the shaft and don't use the screw in device to apply pressure . Practice on beater house cues or something before you do a good shaft. Not sure where mine is anymore.
