I just noticed the Riviera Room prices are $101 for next year's nationals. I would think the BCAPL could negotiate something a little more reasonable considering the current economy.

Actually it varies as to what type of club member you are. I went in 2007 and payed 59.95 per room. Plus room taxes of course. It pays to get a Riviera club card if you go every year.

That makes sense. With that though I would still think that the BCAPL could have worked out a more preferential rate if possible. I believe last year it was $81. To me the only reason to stay at the Riviera is the convenience. Now I say screw the convenience if you are going to be there for the whole event.

Room Rates

I was told, and it came from only one person, that maybe there ARE rate adjustments, however, they do NOT go to the guests!? That is why the rates keep going up, and there are no longer special rates for the players.

There is always Circus Circus.

Rates are $52 a night during the week. Around $85 on the weekend.

Having stayed at the Circus Circus two years ago I would gladly pay the extra dough to stay at the Riv.

Riviera Lowers room rates!!

Riviera turns back the clock! Room rates for the BCAPL Championships are now $85

Good news, players!

The Riviera has reduced all room rates (including prior reservations) for the 33rd Annual BCAPL National 8-Ball Championships in May to $85 per night. As usual, this includes all nights of the tournament and up to four people per room.

To make your reservations for "The Greatest Pool Tournament in the World!" ... CLICK HERE!

The Riviera has spent millions renotating the casino and the guest towers since last year. Their new "Signature Rooms" (example below) have flat screen TVs, new bathrooms, and pillow top Euro beds. ... See you in May!

Hi everyone, my name is Aaron Silva, I'm new here...someone mentioned expedia.com, I'd like to add that I searched many online travel agencies and found expedia to be the most affordable-with ROUND TRIP air AND 5 nights stay at the Riviera for just over $300 (from Portland, Oregon)...for those not playing the road on the way there.

I'll be playing in the Diamond World Summit of Pool there June 3rd-6th...just look for the big guy with the fancy coco-ivory-gold-turquoise Dishaw (Great playing cue btw!!) and if you can't find that, look for the noob getting his butt handed to him by the world's best.

Aaahahahaha! Yes, I'm going to lose...badly...but I'll be the happiest guy there! Hope I get to play Pagulayan or Van Boening:grin-square:

Wish me a slow, and entertaining defeat...and good luck with yours!

I reserved a room at the Mirage for $65 a night (weekend rate too). Killer deal and great hotel in comparison to the Riviera.

As bad as the riv is room wise, i still like the idea of at the end of the evening (or the beginning of the morning ;)) being able to walk or stumble depending on how you played up to your room without having to drive, walk, or take a cab to another hotel. JMO. And it helps when you can score a rate of $40 a night

Riv Too Expensive

I gamble enough that the Riv gives me my room for a cheap price. However, no matter how hard I tried, I could not convince my league members to shell out the extra $70 per night to stay at the Riviera. They are almost all staying at Circus-Circus, who is offering $30 rooms (after taxes) on weekdays.

If this is indicitive of other leagues, I feel sorry for the Riviera.

I think it's funny that all the surrounding hotels are giving better prices than the Riviera. I'm sure that the Riv will have lots of people, but I kind of enjoy the walk to Circus-Circus.....gives me time to think about how I could've played better

Its cheaper if you book airfare and rooms at the Riv together off of priceline or expedia. For 1 plane ticket and a room at the riv for 4 nights was about $450. Plane ticket for me is $300 and about an extra 150 for 4 nights stay at the hotel which is pretty cheap.
