Sorry to those who tried to send me a PM. I didn't realize my gold membership lapsed, making my inbox way way way over the limit. I re-upped, but it might take a while for that to take affect.

I do believe the free 6" piece has been claimed.

One here and one there isn't too bad, But as a cuemaker or repair guy/gal....We buy more than one to keep in stock, so that seemingly inexpensive material adds up QUICK, especially if you care more than one type of material.

Why would you need to stock if a lot if it is available to buy fairly easily?

It takes several months to build a cue.

If the customer wants Tomahawk, simply order it when he asks you to make the cue and gives you a deposit. Add the price of the ferrules to the remaining balance.

If it is something that isn't requested very often, you don't need to stock it.

My choice for not till they run out.
Caramel micarta and old mason micarta ( not the greenish with weaves we see now ). I machine them myself from rods. Double shoulder, threaded.
I also have a few of those " GE" micartas in rods and plates.
Have no reasons to use them for now.
Got very few Westinghouse micartas. Those go for $100 per shaft now.

Juma is popular now but I don't particularly like it b/c as mentioned they are very heavy.
Tomahawk is about the best white ferrule now.
