I know I'm not the only one who has pics of reverse forearms. Here's one by Edwin Reyes, one of the best cuemakers the world ever saw.

Not sure of who made this one, but I like it.

I may have some pics. But what is a reverse forearm? Do you just mean lighter pointwood and darker forearm wood?
I'm not familiar with the term.

Unless I'm mistaken, yes, that's what it's called. I thought this was a common term? :confused:

It may be. Just because I've never heard the term doesn't mean its not used all the time. I mean, I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer. LOL.

I have a few examples of some of by older cues. I'll try and get pigs of them up tomorrow.

Gotcha, lol. I'll keep posting until then.

Here's a great looking South West I found. I believe it's Roppongi's.

And here's a nice Carmeli jump/break.

In fact, I did not. I thought that this was simply one of his cues that he did in a Southwest style. Good to know. Here are a couple more pics I dug up.

Kenny Murrell with birdseye points and grenadillo forearm and handle.

Jim Lee with birdseye points and ebony forearm.

Ok. well, I won't have to post pics of this one then. I sold this a few years back. It originally had a birdseye joint and a birdseye buttcap. The guy I sold it to swapped out the birdseye for phenolic. I think Ken also did this cue in bbirdseye and amboyna.

I have a pics of my old Skip Weston, Fanelli, and Carmeli I can get up later.

Here are the pics I promised. A few nice examples that have passed through my hands.

  • The Murrell (as I knew it... birdseye joint and buttcap);
  • A Satinwood and Cocobolo Fanelli (with a few butterflies to boot);
  • An ebony and tulip wood Skip Weston.

Thanks.

Here's one more, though I'm not sure this is what you're looking for.
Its a floating point cue by Ariel Carmeli. The forearm is ebony. The white is ivory.

Those last two are great cues, I wouldn't mind having either of them, or both.

Here's one by Tim Padgett.
