Dude...that video...you couldn't teach a frog to jump.

well, speaking of frogs that can't jump. Lets go to the video, shall we :D

SBC, aka Brian, in action. I have no comments and will let other folks "judge" your skill level.

I will ask those folks to mention if you played in a 9b league what would SBC's APA skill level be in 9b in your league?

I NEVER said advertiser. You also have a reading comprehension problem. Watch (listen) the opening credits on youtube, and look at the patches on the shirts, APA was a sponsor of the 2018 MC team USA. And more then once.

https://poolplayers.com/apa-to-sponsor-team-usa-in-the-mosconi-cup
Oct 26, 2018 · Oct 26, 2018 | APA National News APA is once again proud to sponsor Team USA in this year’s Mosconi Cup. It’s been nearly a decade since Team USA hoisted the Cup in victory. If they’re to do it this …

Now, arsewipe, dry up and blow away. Oh, and take that family tree you mentioned and shove it in the same space your head is in.
It's advertising. Capitalizing on the biggest pro event with a worldwide audience. Like they have anything to do with it.They don't sponsor pro events.

Buick, Netjets, Frys they have nothing to do with golf but they throw up money to fund a tournament that's supporting pro golf. What is pro pool in the US anyway? It's not like there's an organized tour or anything. Isn't it just guys playing in tournaments.

He doesn't get it. I worked for a company that not only sponsored golf events, they got the tournament named after them, but they also sponsored a few players. Yeah, it's advertising. What does advertising do for pro events. It pays some their salaries by adding money to the payouts... interesting concept, huh ;)

Once again, a reading comprehension problem. I never said they sponsor pro events. They sponsored the American team.
And I suppose you would have no problem (or maybe you would) with the USAPL showing support? They were on the right shirt sleeve of the American team.

What if Kentucky Fried Chicken was a sponsor? Problem with that?

So they got a patch on their shoulder and you think that means what? The guys get a few bucks for promoting them in an event they have nothing to do with. APA does nothing for pro pool.

Christ they give you guys $400-600 and say you won a trip to Vegas when it costs players 4 times that to be there. The pitiance they give you doesn't even pay for the rooms (that APA gets cash kickbacks for filling with players). And you say I'm the stupid one. They make money filling the casino with players.

APA don't put up prize money for pro pool. Just looking to be casually associated with it now that Matchroom has an international audience.

Bwahahaha....thanks for the laugh rj. There are plenty of apa players around here would be lining up to take his money if they watched that video. Il lost track of how many scratches ...missed shots and bad position play both players had.

Man its hard to judge just how good he is because his opponent made it so ewsy for him several racks. Only thing i can say good is he is better than his opponent was.

Guess we could call him banger killer.. Cant believe his opponent had that 5 ball straight in front of him and missed it by a mile. Lmao

Bass Pro Shops sponsors Nascar. So do a host of others that have a absolutely nothing to do with race cars. That's wrong?

The APA is an AMATEUR pool players organization. If they want to get their name out there, promoting themselves in a pro event, then more power to them.

When our team went to Vegas, it was all expenses paid.... Two hotel rooms, round trip airfare for everyone, and entry fees. I only paid for food and entertainment.

If you know a league operator that has done that to his players, then I expect him not to be in business long. You see, it's not the APA that sends players to Vegas. It's the small business owner...the League operator. So if he want to run his business like a douchebag, then I guess the players will vote with their feet.

Trent from Toledo might be able to collaborate this.... There was a league operator out of Toledo that was doing unscrupulous things. The APA National office stripped him of his franchise, and sued him for liable. Pretty sure he lost his establishment because of it. It was Called "21 West". The LO (James Cavender... figured I'd give him a plug)from Southern Michigan temporarily took over... a very outstanding guy.... until a new LO could take over. The division was split in half and both are healthy. You see, the APA isnt everything you say it is.

I dont know where you get your informwtion from but when i went to vegas in 2013 for the 9 ball team event we got 4,800 . i had the lo make all the arangements because he could get discounts for all the teams. it paid for 3 rooms for a week and 6 round trip tickets plus we had 600 left over. Oh...forgot he had to change flights for 2 players which cost us extra.

Saying that the APA does nothing for Pro Pool because they don't write a check to your favorite player is incredibly short sighted.

The structure of the APA rating system forces teams to bring in new blood on a regular basis. As players on a team see their ratings rise, new players have to be recruited to keep the team rating below the limit. The more "new blood" that gets brought in is more people who purchase cues and cases, etc. Those companies who make money from selling those cues and cases are a big part of what keeps the pro scene going.

Would you say that Predator does nothing for pro pool? Who do you think buys enough of those cues to allow them to run the World 10-Ball. It ain't pro players. It's the amateurs.

How about JB Cases? You think John makes his money from the top 100 Fargo rated players in the world?

I know my local pool room is packed with APA players on league nights. That money helps make the room a success and that room owner throws thousands at regional tours. If those APA players go away, does he still have the extra profits to throw at the Arizona Women's Billiard Tour or the Diamond Tour, etc?

Toss in the money that the APA does throw at top pros. Allison was sponsored by the APA for a significant amount of money, and I believe Jeanette is still sponsored by the APA. The APA was also a major sponsor for the WPBA, but I am not sure if they still are. Ewa runs a local APA league and that money certainly helps her compete on the pro tour. I am sure she is not the only pro that runs an APA franchise.

I'm really bearing down aren't I?

Made it to the finals in that tournament. That's on no sleep for months rebuilding our room. We literally drove off the road coming back!

Try me for money...all I'm gonna say. I'd tell you my high runs, but you won't believe me anyway. I'd bust every one of you 3-4 idiots running your mouths. The guy who was gonna fly me out to play went silent when it came time to post.

APA does not sponsor pro pool like room owners, Predator and JB have. They advertise....world of difference. To equate the two is being insincere.

You take down the post where Trob said he wants all old school players to just die...myself specifically. Well we all know he will get his wish sooner or later. Because the will of this corporation will eventually prevail.

What historical significance does APA produce?
Does it do anything to improve or advance the game itself? Slop pool, marking pockets, handicapping do not.
I'm not for anything that further degrades what pool should be. That's my opinion and I will defend it with anyone here.

It is all about the Benjamin's for APA and their biggest defenders are the sheep who are getting fleeced! The payouts are laughable. If a tournament director paid out 30% he would be lynched.

Apa.has instructional videos from pro pool players such as tom rossman and max eberle on their website for members who want to get better. They also sponsor the trick shot artist venom. Not sure if they still sponsor mike massey .

Again....you evidently have no clue what apa does for pool .

Based on what i saw from you wnd your opponent ....who basically handed you a couple of racks i would not be afraid to play you 3 sets of race to 7 . race to 7 in 8 ball...wpa rules...also race to 7 in 9 and 10 ball. That would prove who is the better all around player.

I have not shot on a 9 footer in 4 years so it would be on 7 foot diamond. Its kiddie pool to you right? So it should be even easier for you to beat a banger apa player like me.

Then again ...with the excuses you just gqve you could have had an off night. I have my share of those every now and then due to a disability in my shooting hand.

Dont think i am calling you out....just saying i would not be afraid to play you based on what i saw. I have played masters ...facing the best in town ... I have a 40 percent win record....not bad for a skill level 5 . in case you are not familiar with masters....its non handicapped race to 7 ...jump cues allowed ...pushouts allowed...no coaching allowed.
So if i aint afraid to play the best we have i aint afraid to play you for a few bucks.

I did get a few laughs out of that video though lol.

How about the APA minions who want old school guys to die off?

The whole league mentality is killing off what's left of pool. Dumbs down the game and you know it. Now saying so doesn't get you anything but shit here so I can understand your silence.

Your not allowed to have a successful business in pool .. it all has to goto the players.

Thank you for clearing that up trob. :D I clearly have my priorities wrong.

Now if someone could explain how the guy in the Hustlin' shirt in the video RJ posted is, "Old School", that would be great.

Sorry for the questions, I'm a newb to this, "pool" stuff.
