Evans Segen cues played well, imho, from the ones I tried and I generally don't care for none steel joints. Also his taper and cue length made for a stiff crisp hit and allowed for great ball control. If I didn't love my Runde so much, I could see myself playing with a Segen. Obviously opinions vary, but I think trying to enter the cue building market as a quasi production operation now is not the best time. I think unless you are a one man shop who can build a reputation as purely a custom cue builder anyone would of been better off. But knowing Evan, he will be around and having fun doing it in retirement.
