If I were you, I'd contact Schmelke and have them make a brand new one.

The last one they made me is superb. I ordered it with only a black collar, but I'm sure they can put a silver ring if that is what you want.

I had them use one of their premium blanks and the shaft is one of the smoothest, whitest, and slickest that I have. I had them use a short XTC ferrule and I had an Ultra-skin soft tip installed on it.
