Request for pics of cues with less seen point configurations(e.g. 2,3,5 points). - 10-20-2019, 11:19 PM

Hi Az family, I have used the search function and browsed a bunch of the old threads, but I'd really like to see some examples of cues with 2 points, 3 points, 5points, 7points etc...

Viking seems to be the most common 3 pointers I run across but would love to see other examples if people wouldn't mind showing their collections. Maybe they are super common and I just haven't seen much.

Thanks

Moochi made a bunch of 3-pointers.
They looked ugly to me.

Mike Bender is famous for his 5-pointers.

Do you not like 3 pointers, or just not the meucci versions?
I wasnt to familiar with Mike's work, thanks for the heads up, appreciated!

Here is a Huebler 2 point cue, not a good picture, it only shows one point.

That's interesting, although you have excellent taste, and I love the cue work you do, so I wonder why you feel that way, just not aesthetically pleasing?

I for whatever reason feel the exact opposite, think they are just too cool. The 3 pointer is def my favorite.

Too wide at the base and the taper/angle to the tip is way too steep for my liking.
I like points that closely resemble the taper of the forearm.
That's why I loved Judd's 8-pointer.
Even those Joe Gold's floating points look nice to me b/c they they flow with the cue.

I have several of his cues including an early 4 point veneer from about 1980, a true sneaky pete from 1983, a 6 point ebony points alternating, a 5 point inlaid points of ivory outlined with silver and a Mc Attack of vercote and very nice birdseye

That cue is just lovely, and as a chess player I really appreciate it! Wico points it looks like to my untrained eye?

Thanks for taking time out of your day to take pics and share them!

Is what you are talking a playability type of thing, designing a cue type of thing, or more of an aesthetic thing. Thanks for always answering my stupid questions by the way!
