TAD Cues
Great looking cues. I do have a question maybe someone can answer about TAD cues. Why did he start using the longer butt caps? Did it come from where he learned to make cues, say an influence on him? Was it just to separate his cues from the crowd? Or is there something structural behind it? Just curious and wanting to learn more about cue makers. Thanks.

I agree, TAD's are great cues. From seeing a bunch over the years, I would estimate sometime in the 90s, he started going with a longer butt plate; I could be off a bit. I've wondered about that myself, but I think that's about right. I could only offer a guess, that the longer butt plate was to separate himself a bit, as a lot of the rest were going to shorter butt plates about that time.

Hawaiin Brian originally asked for the longer buttcap, I dont know what year, but Tad told me thats what made it popular and other people were asking for it. I have seen many pre 90's like this style.
Eddie is correct, it was made longer by request, see attachment for details.
