OT: Graduating - 05-02-2008, 04:45 PM

I know this is probably belongs in NPR, but I don't care. Saturday morning at 10 AM, I'll graduate from college with an Associate Degree in Industrial Electronics-Automated Manufacturing.
I just checked my grades for this last term and passed the math that I was worried about with a B! It's been a struggle sometimes, but it's over. I've already had five or six calls this past week about jobs, two of which are very promising and lucrative, to boot.
I asked for thoughts and prayers when it looked like we couldn't make it financially, and I guess it worked.
Thanks to all!! I can't believe it!!!!!!!

I had a stroke. I had it when I came in, I KNOW I did

Since you're an educated man now, I probably won't be able to pull the wool over your eyes as easily when we play now .

Congrats. I know you worked really hard.

Let's make this pool related. I never wanted to go to college, but both my parents are educators and going to college was just a given, I suppose.

I struggled my entire time through college (UMass in Amherst, MA). Mostly because I was in love with my future wife, and in love with a game called pool. I spent entirely too much time at the student union playing 9-ball and 8-ball. I won my school's pool tournament allowing me to go to my regional ACU-I championship. Somehow, I snuck out a passing mark, and got that piece of paper that said I'm a graduate.

BTW, I'm an Automation Engineer with a career background in Assembly Manufacturing in case you had any obscure questions!

I hear you on the Math! I had to take Calculus 3 times before I got a C! It was so bad, I couldn't take any other classes until I got by it!

Do I remember or use it? Nope!

Congrats on the paper! Now get to work!

Well, before this gets moved to the NPR, congratulations.
Don't quit there, take a rest for a while then work for your BS or BA nights at your own pace while holding down a job. Getting an education isn't easy, but in today's world is a must have.
