Stupid.

The whole point of banning actual cigarettes in most public places was due to 2nd hand smoke, and the harmful effects it may have.

Curious to know what harmful effects e-cigs have on non-users.

I disagree...... I don't smoke and never have. but I have been around people vaping and it irritates the hell out of my throat. Much worse than Cig smoke to me.

At Super Billiards Expo a vendor was selling, plus people already had them. After 3 days of breathing that crap in the action area, my throat was shot. No way inhaling that crap isnt harmful. Lungs were made for one thing, air.

Interesting. I haven't been around them enough to know one way or another.

I heard you can partake in marijuana this way too. Is that true?

I think it should be perfectly legal to kill yourself inhaling whatever garbage you so choose.....but only in the privacy of your own home.

(and your medical expenses should not be lumped in with everyone else's health insurance)

Yup. Certain ones can do green, hash and concentrated oil. The oil one is soooooo nice.

I think it's a bit of an over reaction but at the same time I understand. I quit smoking and use a vaporizer now. The problem is that no one is sure if there are any potential 2nd hand effects from it. Add that to the overly litigious state CA has become and the county/city is just trying to cover its arse

No way the city would incur liability by not banning the vaporizers.

FWIW, the secondhand E-Cigarette smoke/vaopr makes me feel worse than secondhand (tobacco) cigarette smoke

Hilarious. Now, are we talking about the second-hand smoke a young child inhales when in a car with a no-nothing asshole of an adult that barely has a window cracked and is chain smoking cigarettes? Or are we talking about the bullshit Truth commercials' "second-hand smoke" where some dude who occasionally walked by the cigarette smoking area on his way into work now doesn't have a throat and can't walk? Or maybe the guy who tried a cigarette once when he was 16 is now due to die in two months from (obviously) cigarette-induced lung cancer. There is a massive industry for inventing second-hand smoking problems that make no rational sense, not unlike the massive industry created to stop man-made global warming. Now that industry is simply turning against the alternative in order to stay relevant.

My grandmother chain-smoked from when she was 13 until she was 91 and died of a blood clot in her brain, never had cancer. Amazing that a couple years of walking through a cloud of smoke can ruin a dancer's life in his early 30' (or whatever BS they paid some guy with genetic cancers to say). Vaping must really be taking off for people to somehow experience throat problems when the most I've ever seen are four or five people tops using e-cigarettes whose vapor dissolves into nothing after a couple seconds in a pool hall. Must be the banana-flavoring.

Mysterious!

People who continually claim that they are allergic to cigarette smoke but will
sit around a camp fire all night drinking beer without one complaint.

It is harmful. Not as bad as cigarettes, but bad. Pneumonia is diagnosed as water in your lungs. What do E-cigs do?? Exactly the same thing as giving yourself pneumonia.

Former smoker but I think outlawing smoking in public is ridiculous. Leave it to the owner of any business/establishment to decide. I don't hang out in the bathrooms at white castle because I don't like the vapors and the noises... but I would never say they should be banned. Maybe I don't like how the exhaust in your car smells? Or your fat wife's terrible B.O., but I would never bar you from taking her to the buffet either; I just wouldn't go, or I'd go to a different buffet.

I'm swerving off course here. E cigs bad. Cigarettes worse. Quit both. Save yourself along of trouble. This coming from a 35 year old heart attack victim.
