I've always played with Irish Linen, but would like to try something new.

Other than no wrap, leather, and stacked leather, what other options are there out there?

Any recommendations?

Sport grip (a.k.a. rubber). My preference is wrapless, then sport. Unfortunately for me, linen & leather can really jazz up a cue's looks.

Silk wraps are very nice and the oldest "cord" wrap on cues

I didn’t mention it earlier since it’s become so rare but Cortland Linen would be excellent.
Even Blue Mountain, a close second, did not have Cortland’s smooth consistency & feel.

I have one spool (50 yds) of brown speck Cortland that I held onto mostly out of nostalgia.
Four (4) of my cues have Cortland Linen #9 and it is by far my favorite cue wrap of all time.
