I went to college Summer of 67, from the burbs of Chicago. Every town, every pool room, every bar had Wooden triangles.
Over the years there were a few makers of triangles, but the Woodworks Brand triangles, from TX were the real deal, Vivian knows the man, I had em before for one of my rooms.
The tongue/groove wood quality, the spacing for the rackers fingers, and the noise that came off the balls as you pushed em up/back at the spot area ''talked'' pool.
I personally think every pro event with referee/rackers for each table should use WOOD. It brings back the sounds of the game....to the game and especially to the tv production.
PLUS THERE IS NO PLASTIC SITTING ON THE TABLE EFFECTING PLAY............EVER
